About Me

I was born in New York in 1963 and raised there until my family and I moved to Las Vegas in the year 2000. I have been married 23 years to a wonderful man and have 6 terrific children ranging in age from 3 to 23. I also recently delivered my first grandchild, a beautiful baby girl named Autumn Rose!

My amazing journey through pregnancy, feeling the tremendous power of labor and the amazing and overwhelming joy and love that flooded through me when my children were born drew me to midwifery. I saw the magic of this special time and wanted to work toward enabling other woman to enjoy this journey.

I have been involved in health care since 1987 as a nurses assistant, and in 1998 became certified as a doula and had my training at Stonybrook University, Long Island NY. In 2004 I began my midwifery training with two local Las Vegas midwives.  I am passionate about midwifery and feel it is my true vocation in life. I have taken advanced midwifery courses and have actively attended many births. I am trained in both adult and neonatal resuscitation. I am in the process of becoming NARM certified as a certified professional midwife. I am a member of CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professionals Association), member and secretary of BYN ( Nevada's Birth Year Network) and member of NMA ( Nevada Midwife Association).

I offer up-to-date holistic midwifery care centered on your needs and wishes. I passionately believe in the powerful impact of individualized care to create a wonderful journey through pregnancy, birth and parenthood.
